Thursday night the TexAnns missed an opportunity to continue their recent winning ways by failing to put away a less-talented Cameron University team. Tarleton fell in the last three games 30-26, 30-27 and 16-14 after winning the first two games easily 30-18 and 30-25.
Missy Castro led the way offensively for the TexAnns with 24 kills. Alisha Bourgo turned in 17 kills and Emily Richardson had 14. Prayr Giebler led in assists with 36. Susan Domine had 33.
Shea McBrearty led the TexAnns on defense with 20 digs. Bourgo had 19, Castro 17, Domine 14, and Giebler 10.
Saturday afternoon, the TexAnns looked less than sharp as they fell to Midwestern State on Saturday. The Mustangs took games one (30-17), two (30-23) and three (30-22).
Leading the way for the TexAnns was Missy Castro with 14 kills.
The TexAnns return home on Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 7 p.m. to face Oklahoma Panhandle State.
