The Tarleton basketball squads began their drive toward a championship on Sunday night as the annual Midnight Madness tradition took place in Wisdom Gym. Students of all ages and from all organizations took to the stands to get a glimpse of what Coach Hearne and Coach Reisman's teams have to offer this season.

After performances by both the cheerleaders and Texan Stars, the TexAnns took the court. After five minutes of drills, the players were introduced and played a quick pick-up game for the fans. Kendal Reddell, a senior from Stephenville, wowed the fans in attendance as she showcased her range, connecting on a pair of long-range 3- pointers.

After the TexAnns left the court, Coach Reisman and the Texans entered to the TSU fight song and began a short warm-up session prior to their pick-up game. Effran Bryant, a five-foot-six-inch sophomore from Humble, impressed those in attendance with his dunking ability. Bryant had a teammate stand under the basket and as Bryant came running toward the baseline his teammate caught him and lifted him up. Bryant dunked the basketball to a thunderous ovation from the Tarleton faithful.

The TexAnns will begin their season at Sam Houston State on Nov. 4. The Texans travel to Baylor on Nov. 2, to begin their season.
