After a survey conducted at random of 211 Tarleton students, 102 males and 109 females, results show 79 percent of the students that participated are sexually active.
Participating in this survey were 86 freshmen, 62 sophomores, 33 juniors, 28 seniors and two graduate students.

Raised in Ohio, Chris Ireland has made the transition to a Tarleton Texan. Ireland, assistant professor of Fine Arts, came to Tarleton to teach his students the creative uses of the computer as a tool in fine arts, photography, design, typology, video and sound production, along with two-dimensional animation and interactive art.

Rock the Gym is an annual event held each fall semester on the campus of Tarleton State University. This free event, which began in 2008, is designed specifically for children with disabilities. The Department of Health & Physical Education (HPE) developed this event as a means of providing fitness and friendship opportunities to school-aged children with disabilities and also to promote a real-world learning experience for students majoring in HPE.
