Brittany Brady crowned Homecoming Queen
Brady was bestowed the honor of Homecoming Queen after a turbulent two weeks where voting legitimacy was called into question. "It's been the longes two weeks of my life probably," Brady said. "I really couldn't ask for anything more than to know that students stil cared enough to revote after everything that has happened.

Alpha Gamma Delta, Delta Phi Xi claim Yell Contest titles

Alpha Gama Delta and Delta Phi Xi excelled in this year's Yell Contest, as both organizations won the large and small division, respectively. During Yell Contest, students perform steps, chants and yells relating to homecoming or university traditions. The winning team of each division receives the honor of beating the drum first, after the Plowboys.

Bonfire lights up Tarleton spirit

School spirit ignites at a respectful distance from the Tarleton bonfire, a tradition which has long since become a rally to get students fired up for Homecoming. As tradition dictates, the bonfire is dedicated to L.V. Risinger. In 1939, students defended their bonfire against a North Texas Agricultural College air raid which was seeking to light the fire early.

Purple lines for purple pancakes

Purple pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage and eggs were served to a hungry Tarleton community Thursday at this year's Midnight Breakfast. Hundreds of students lined the entry into the Dining Hall, some arriving at least two hours early, to ensure the best seating for breakfast.
